By using Nave ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Description of service
Nave is a food scanning and tracking app that lets you scan barcodes, take photos of food, or search by product name. The app provides health scores, ingredient analysis, additive identification, and food logging. Nave retrieves product data from our database and uses AI to analyze food photos.
2. Health disclaimer
Nave is for informational purposes only and is not medical or nutritional advice.
- Health scores, ingredient analysis, and dietary information provided by the app are educational and should not replace professional medical or nutritional guidance.
- AI-powered food analysis may contain errors or inaccuracies. Always verify information that affects health decisions.
- The app cannot assess your complete health profile, allergies, or medical conditions.
- Consult a qualified healthcare professional before making dietary changes based on information from the app.
- Do not rely on the app for allergy or intolerance detection.
3. AI technology limitations
The app uses AI to analyze food photos and labels. AI-generated results are approximations and may not always be accurate. Product databases may contain incomplete or outdated information. We continuously work to improve accuracy but cannot guarantee that all analysis is error-free.
4. Subscriptions
Nave offers a free tier with limited barcode scans and a premium subscription that unlocks photo scanning, label scanning, full history, and unlimited swap suggestions.
- Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your iPhone Settings under Subscriptions.
- Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policy.
- We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect on their renewal.
5. Acceptable use
You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
- Use the app for commercial resale or redistribution of data
- Attempt to interfere with the app's infrastructure or proxy servers
- Use automated tools to scrape data through the app
6. Intellectual property
The app's interface, design, algorithms, and branding are the property of Nave. Product data is sourced from our database. AI-generated analysis is provided as-is.
7. Privacy
Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy. All food logs and personal data are stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes all data.
8. Service availability
We aim to keep the app available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Third-party databases and AI services may experience downtime. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, that food data will be accurate, or that AI analysis will be correct. You use the app at your own risk.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nave shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to health decisions made based on information provided by the app. Total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app or subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nave from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the app, violation of these terms, or health decisions made based on app information.
12. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We reserve the right to restrict access to the app if these terms are violated.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
